Our Mission

To support the parents of the Parish in helping their children grow in their understanding of our faith and deepen their relationship with our Lord, by encouraging them to participate actively in the celebration of the Eucharist and the life of the Parish and to take seriously the study of Scripture and sound Catholic doctrine.

Family of Faith, Grade 1-6:

  • Parents will receive a remote monthly lesson via a live Zoom chat with one of our priests on the scheduled dates. A week after the parent’s lesson, a Catechist will reach out to parents as a point of contact to answer questions to offer guidance and support to families as needed. Families will then work with their child, at home, for the remainder of the month. Our program puts emphasis on the role of parents as the primary educators of the faith and is designed for grades 1-6.

The Family Faith Formation Program provides the two-year required preparation for First Penance and Reconciliation and First Holy Communion

Confirmation Preparation: Levels 1 & 2 (normally 7th and 8th grades)

  • Candidates will come together remotely once or twice a month for lessons with a catechist, completing the chosen program, (and Saint Book for 7th grade only).

Immediate Confirmation Prep (normally 9th grade).

  • Candidates will prepare by coming together remotely with a catechist, attending 3 lessons before receiving Confirmation in the fall. They will review key concepts of the faith and participate in a retreat to allow them to reflect on how to live out the commitment they make to Christ in Confirmation.

Our religious education program has a spiral approach in which learning builds upon previous years of experience and knowledge. Therefore, if a child has missed one or more years of religious instruction the child might be placed in a lower grade level. This placement may depend on formal, written assessments given by the office and the evaluation of the particular circumstances of the child.

In addition to the Faith Formation program, our office supports the Parish community by encouraging the active participation of our families in the life of the Church in the celebration of the Holy Mass, other liturgies, and devotions; other faith formation activities; parish events; and community service projects.
